Welcome to the NASSP Principal of the Year Award website. The Principal of the Year program recognizes outstanding middle level and high school principals who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students as well as demonstrating exemplary contributions to the profession. Each year, the State Principal of the Year winners are submitted for consideration to be the National Principal of the Year.
Regarding the 2021 Colorado award process: Each year, Colorado (CASSP/CASE) selects and honors one Middle Level Principal of the Year and one High School Principal of the Year. The winners of these two awards compete to represent Colorado at the national level. All nominations for 2021 Middle Level and High School Principal of the Year must be submitted to CASE no later than Friday, January 17, 2020.
