Welcome to the Colorado Assistant Principal of the Year Award website. The Assistant Principal of the Year program recognizes outstanding middle-level and high school assistant principals who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students as well as demonstrating exemplary contributions to the profession. Each year, the Assistant Principal of the Year winners from all 50 states are submitted for consideration to be the National Assistant Principal of the Year.

The eligibility and rubric are available to assist you in meeting the criteria that the reviewers will use to score your application.

NOTE: To honor your time, you will not need to complete every question in the application initially. You may view the required questions here. If you are selected to be interviewed and are a finalist for the Colorado Assistant Principal of the Year, you will be asked to finish the entire application.
